When we faced the interior design of the residence, and due to the transitory character and the discontinuous use as a second home, an approach was conceived as a holiday resort, a place that invites rest and relaxation, to escape the hustle and bustle of Chennai.
The landscape and the manicured gardens that surround the house accentuate that sensation of an island of tranquility and penetrate its interior, bringing freshness and a sensation of well-being. Both the materials chosen, -organic and sustainable- as well as the furniture designed, play with that nature, emphasizing warmth, creating a cosy, familiar and intimate atmosphere.
The wide and diaphanous spaces that define the architecture, are dressed with essential pieces chosen, defined and designed to complement the purity of the lines built and to flow with them.
The contemporary style of European design, both iconic and author pieces, as well as others expressly designed for each room, are combined with elements with traditional cultural remembrance of South India, creating a heterogeneous fusion that enriches the senses and gives an idea of global unity.
Thanks to the talented teams at Wood’ n Design, Geekay Interiors and Spacewise, who brought to life the furniture and complements we envisioned.
